Some of my teeth hurt?

I am 16 weeks pregnant and just started having a little bit of pain around a couple of my teeth.  I Go to the dentist regularly (went in first trimester and they said everything looked good) and I brush twice a day and floss once.  Now that I am having teeth tenderness I started brushing 3 times a day and flossing after every meal.  Is this normal in pregnancy? Is It possible that I am not getting enough calcium? I do take my prenatal vitamin everyday.

My sister told me this one girl she knew lost some of her teeth while pregnant!  Now I am soo worried about this.. I am sooo picky about my teeth and I dont wanna lose any! :/.. Any suggestions???

Im 18 weeks take excellent care of my teeth use to even get compliments from the dentist and one day i was eating, bit the fork and one of tooth chipped right off as if it were super brittle. I got teary eyed I was so traumatized. Needless to say I got it fixed but have been taking calcium pills just to be on the safe side ever since.

My teeth gave me horrible trouble around 10-13 weeks. So pregnancy gingivitis makes your whole mouth hurt and if you have an underlying issue it intensifies it. Every time I would brush it floss it looked like someone had busted me in the mouth , so much blood. My teeth have always been in great condition (1 cavity my whole life) but like syltated abovs pregnancy really takes a toll, I ended up having to get a wisdom tooth pulled at 13weeks. No fun!! Around 15 1/2 weeks it literli just went away, no pain or sensitivity or bleeding. My dentist told me to keep brushing/ flossing like normal and warm salt water rinses if your mouth is sore. Good luck to you!

Yeah my dentist has mentioned that. . I just haven't got one yet.  I catch myself grinding my teeth during the day too so it *****.  I just brushed my teeth and I took it easy on them and it didn't hurt near as bad.  Maybe I was just being too rough on them.  Thanks everyone!  :)

You can get a night guard for when your sleeping to help prevent damage from grinding

And yeah it's definately me grinding my teeth as well that's causing it. .I have no idea why I do it.  I do it at night and I catch myself doing it Sometimes during the day. I've been doing it for a long time now. . Wish I wouldn't anymore.

that would make your teeth hurt. over brushing can be bad too. make sure you are using a very soft tooth brush - or even better get a sonicare electric tooth brush, they are very gentle

I also grind my teeth. . Maybe that could be a reason too.

Ok Thanks..it usually aches a bit after I floss and brush. . That's about it.  I usually don't feel anything other than that. But it still worries me. My tooth paste has whitening and scope in it. .Maybe it's the whitening that is doing it. I Have a doctors appt tomorrow so I'll ask her.  And I did go to the dentist not to long ago but maybe I'll call them if it gets worse.

Pregnancy is hard on teeth! Are you using whitening toothpaste that makes my teeth sensitive I have to alternate and brushing to hard but definitely go see your dentist

There is a jaw condition you can get during pregnancy. I thought I had a cavity but the pain seemed to move between teeth in a similar spot. You should google it. Your dentist should be able to help.
