Worried after ERPC

Hi All,
I am 29 yrs and i miss-carried last Monday when i was 9 week. I started spotting without any pain. When i went to the doctor he said the babys heart beat has stopped and the baby has stopped growing after the 7th week. The doctor said that i have had a Missed Miscarriage and that its advisable for me to do a ERPC.

So did a ERPC last Friday.  I am still bleeding slightly on and off other than that i am ok physically. But emotionally am still drained . I want to try again soon . I have following questions . Please help me out . Thanks in advance

- How long do i have to wait to have intercourse with my husband.
- How long do i have to wait before trying for a baby
- Is it ok to go swimming after an ERPC

I'm so sorry for your loss. I was told no intercourse until the bleeding stops completely after I miscarried in October. They also told me to wait until I had at least one regular period before trying again, I'm now 27 weeks.

As long as you are feeling okay and not too dizzy or bleeding very heavily you are fine to swim.
Most providers suggest that you should wait for three full cycles before starting to try to conceive after a miscarriage.
Generally after a procedure like that a provider will want to do a checkup after two weeks or so to make sure you're healing well physically and emotionally - it would be best to wait until after that appointment to resume intercourse, unless your doctor says otherwise. At the very least a condom should be used to decrease the risk of infection - your cervix may still be slightly dilated and/or the procedure may have caused some small scratches or abrasions inside you that could easily become infected in the presence of foreign body fluids.

I agree with Cecilia_Morgan. I'd be calling and asking them all those questions. I'd say in the mean time rest!

I'm sorry about your miscarriage :( I hope you become pregnant again and it be a healthy beautiful pregnancy. Good luck go you.

The doctors didn't tell you thing these?  I mean that's a little serious to be asking people and have been told by your doc and the person that did that procedure.
