baby shower

What kind of food do you have at a baby shower? My friends keep asking me what I want for my shower, and to tell the truth I don't know.

You can do anything really: snack foods only, small sandwiches, salad bar, spaghetti and sauce, have a pot luck - it's all in what you want :-)

My shower was at a restaurant so to start there was cheese/crackers and veggies and for the meal we had Caesar salad, pasta salad, and a tomato mozzarella salad, rolls with butter, pasta primavera, asparagus, and chicken with like a vodka sauce and asiago cheese. For dessert there was coffee, tea, cupcakes, and an assortment of cookies and pastries. It was all very good!

We have always done sandwiches I think. But I do know my cousins baby shower we had in October we had salads and soup. It worked out great.
Then of course chips, other snacks and dessert.

I would recommend looking into cute ideas on pintrest they have so many inexpensive and so it you're self I would recommend depending how long you're shower will be what kind of food to serve if it's just 2-3 hours finger foods if longer some kind of meal.

I also recommend Pinterest.

You just need snacky sort of things. Finger foods. Nothing sooooo elaborate in my opinion. N

For my cousins shower she wanted pasta. Pasta feeds alot of people and it isn't that expensive. We did a baked ziti type and a alfredo. Garlic bread. Chicken cesar salad. We did a caprise salad and brushetta.

Iv done several baby showers for family. My own is in february.. There will probably be meatballs, possibly a 6 foot sub, chips, veggie tray, fruit tray, cookie tray, crackers n cheese. Hoping i can get my mom to make her potato salad :) not sure really lol i dont think my mom, the one throwing it has thought that far ahead lol of course a cake.  Prolly some fruit salad desserts since i could probably live off them lol try to google. Finger food. Easy party foods. Google is where i get most ideas :) good luck

The shower I planned for a relative I made cocktail shrimp, lil smokies in a blanket, veggie tray with ranch, fruit tray with yogurt, chips, cookies decorated like babies, cup cakes decorated like babies and a huge cake.

It all depends on what type of food you want. Some people on here had cookout food, pot luck food, fancy lunch types and some just deserts. What ever you want will be fine. You can also take in mind what type of shower you want just friends hanging out, casual get together, basic baby shower or fancy sit down lunch or dinner.
