I had the Morena for 4 years. I had the weight gain, acne, mood swings. The only food part was that I didn't have my A for 4 years. I had my husband take the Morena out on July 28th, I am 6+5 today.

Oh wow, my dr is pushing for the mirena. I can't go back on the pill because of my pregnancy complications and he wont tie my tubes because of lots of reasons but we've been advised to make this our last baby. Maybe I should look into Paragard.

I had Paragard (iud) it is the only non hormonal birth control.  I didn't have to worry about growing a beard, or gaining weight, or blood clots, or any other side effects. It was good for ten years and I had my strings checked whenever I had an appointment.

I had the mirena put in my uterus and it's supposed to be the most effective form of birth control. Supposedly it lasts for five years. I had mine put in in 2012 and we decided not to have more kids this year. In early July I still hadn't started my period and I wasn't too concerned until I started peeing frequently. Took three tests and was in shock every time they came out positive!!! Had to be rushed in for emergency ultrasound and the mirena is MISSING!!!!!! I was 5 weeks pregnant and horrified!!!! I'm now almost 15 weeks, I'm still in shock but taking it in a little better. I have csection scheduled for early march. My doctor says during my surgery she's going to look through my abdomen and move some things around ( my organs!) and try to find it. I will never get this again since I'm getting my tubes done but I wouldn't recommend it!!!! All that being said, I have formed a bond with this big bundle of surprises and am in love and can't wait to meet him/her. ❤️ But don't get mirena unless you check for it often!!!

I had the implant in my arm...my arm would always hurt, and iwould spot all the time. thats my experience with that.
I did very well on the depo shot, and I did very well with the IUD.  So i recommend one of those.
Everything else seemed like i would forget or i would be faulty.

I was thinking about the arm one too! Have you heard about any complications about these? I dont want one inserted down there either. It sounds weird especially because people say you have to feel that it's in the right place!

I'm horrible with pills also. They have a thing that goes in your arm and lasts 3 years. They also have the iud that lasts 10 years. It's the T shaped thing they put inside your cervix.  I will never get it because I've heard of too many cases of it going wrong and have to be surgical removed. I'm pretty sure I'm going to get the arm thing. You can remove it anytime you want to get pregnant
