bleeding first trimester

I'm a ftm, trying not to panic. Ive gotten used to the light cramping over the last few weeks (hpt was positive 2 weeks ago, first obgyn appt tomorrow, I believe I'm 7 or 8 weeks). When I wiped after peeing today, there was a small spot of red blood (not even enough to reach the panty liner Ive been wearing, I wiped twice and each time there was a small spot, smaller than the size of a dime). I did have sex last night so I'm thinking that may be it. Im restless having to wait until tomorrow's appt. It has since stopped. Sadly my sister had a miscarriage earlier this year at 5 weeks so that scary thought is in my mind. Will they do an internal sonogram to make sure everythings ok?

I bleed for 3wks, it finally stopped and everything is okay with my baby. I am now 10wks, they will do a vaginal ultrasound to see where the bleeding is coming from.
