braxton hicks and contractions

I'm almost 29 weeks. And I keep getting braxton Hicks. this is my third pregnancy and I've never had them before and I was.wondering if they were painful for anyone else? Or if you had preterm labor contractions what they felt like? My.first I was induced at 41wks and my.last.pregnancy I had a section @ 35 weeks. so I'm nervous I won't know what labor feels like....

I'd been complaining about bh since 18wks and dr said it was normal, some women feel them from 12wks, I didnt get them with my first til I was 32wks. Then at 24wks I started getting random uterine contractions that felt like bh but with a menstrual cramp and pain in the back and would take my breath away, even had one in the middle of an ob appointment, he still said it was ok because it was random. At 27wks, I woke up feeling a bit off and occassional menstrual cramps. By lunch I also had intestinal cramps and felt like I needed to have diarrhea so went to the toilet, felt like I couldn't get up for 1.5hrs the cramps were so bad, then I lost my mucus plug. Within 20mins the uterine contractions were back. By the time I get to the hospital I was have regular painful contractions 3mins apart. They stopped it 3 times over 2wks. I definitely knew the difference between bh and labour. My mind went from 'somethings not right here' to 'omg I need help quick' pretty fast from the intensity of the cramps.
