Aww thx! :-) that means a lot to me! I hope all goes well with your labor and delivery hellojojo! :-) and our bodies can do amazing things so I am very hopeful for my vbac and for you have a natural delivery. Best of luck momma! :-) they say most women who try a vbav after failure to progress and cepholopelvic disproportion (baby to big for pelvis) that they go on to have natural birth with a larger than previous baby! Lol so well see. Hoping she is a little smaller than 8.6 though haha

I had staples they were awful. I'm leaning towards vbac this January but if I do have another c section i will be asking for stitches. I gained 80 with my four yr old so i have some loose skin and it made.my incision hard to heal. My oldest was actually 2 1/2 at the time and he kicked me in it changing him and it reopened after that it took forever to heal. it's been 17 months and half is numb the other half is.sore when my clothes.rub on it but everyone is different

Wow, its amazing how different it is around the world. I didn't have staples so no dots, I had dissolvable stitches, and I have complete feeling around my scar and hair grew back. I also ate dinner that night, no liquid diet.

They cut below bikini line so it's covered by underwear or pants etc. faded really well can barely see it now nearly 3 years later. Did my c-section at 11pm had me up at 8am the next day. They encourage you to walk for short periods regularly through the day as it encourages healing. Definitely did not ruin stomach any worse than the damage that the pregnancy caused (stretch marks, loose skin etc)
It's not that bad so try not to stress

I was tiny 7stone when I got pregnant with my first baby.. my section was emergency but surprisingly my scars "pretty" :)

Its literally below my knicker line - they shave your skin and cut lower than pube line. The pubes don't grow back around scar (well mine haven't over five yrs later)
my scars a white line with dots like this
: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : along either side of the line -------- the lines the cut scar and the : scars are from the staples they used to close me up
And like ↑Danielle said its completely numb around the scar... (even now 5yrs later)

I'm getting my 2nd C-Sec in Oct.  And the scar is literally the length from the beg. of my palm to the 2nd line in my middle finger and it kinda got smaller over the 8 yrs I've had it and you can not even see it it is a little lower than my bikini line very easy to hide unless I point it out to people. And recovery time is a bit long because since you aren't pushing alk the blood and nasty stiff or like you would a natural birth all of it comes or like a period for about 2 weeks .. they day after your c-sec you'll be on a all liquid diet so soups and juices and stuff ... and then the day after they will have you walk about the hospital a bit they will not release you till you have a boule movement ... and home recovery is about 4-6 weeks depending ... The most weird thing about getting a c-sec is you can't feel your scar like there is no feeling near it .. I still have no feeling but it's no big deal ... hope this helps

I had mine at 3pm so they didnt let me out of bed til about 8am the next morning. Once they took the cathetar out and I had a shower I was free to do whatever I wanted. I found regular little walks was great to get everything moving again. I can't do vaginal due to my complications I'll never know if it's preferable but I do know csections for me have not been as bad as were made out they would be to me. I had a fantastic recovery and was back to normal in 2wks.

How long are you usually on bed rest after a c section?  And do u think its preferable to a vaginal delivery?

Yep, as above said. Mine is on the bikini line, about 4inches long, and so faded I can hardly see it 15mths later. Its as thin as a pencil line. I'm having my 2nd csection later this year.

most of the time this car is very low and can be hidden by underwear or bikini. The incision is usually just big enough to deliver the baby, not even hip bone to hip bone,. The incision is usually about4 or 5 inches long will usually heal very well. sometimes, these scars will fade so much overtime that you can hardly tell that there is a scar there at all. The rest of the abdomen is not affected other than the normal Effects of pregnancy. Don't be scared it will be ok. Good luck
