can't stop worrying

I do suffer from anxiety, but have also had a miscarriage before so I feel a little more validated with my concerns. My question is do any of you other first time mommy's have the hardest time relaxing and not worrying? I am just so scared all the time and I know the stress is not healthy. I also know that this is out of my hands and whatever is going to happen, will. I just need some tips on how to just enjoy the ride and stop worrying about every little thing. Any suggestions help.

Warning: it only gets worse. I miscarried before this one at 15 weeks so I refused to even tell anyone until 20 weeks and I still constantly worry and seeing still birth tragedies just make me even more anxious. Try to focus on the positives- take it one day at a On my way!. As corny as it sounds looking too far ahead will cause more stress and anxiety (which isn't good for baby either). Don't be afraid to let your doctor know you're nervous and scared. I was with a high risk doc until 20 weeks just to be sure and she went out of her way to help me relax. Just keep open lines of communication and know your feelings are justified

I know exactly how you feel. I am always worried. My son is 8 and a half. My husband and I tried for 6 years to have another baby. I became pregnant once but quickly miscarried around 5 weeks. I am finally pregnant again and am now at 10 weeks as of timorrow, but become so anxious. My midwife even did an ultrasound at 7 weeks to, "put my mind at ease." My mind isn't at ease. I just try and stay busy by reading and crocheting and doing other things I enjoy. I also remind myself often that my symptoms of nausea, breast tenderness, and so forth are all signs that things are still OK and I don't need to worry... For today. It still doesn't feel real, but I have to believe that what is meant to be will be. Good luck everyone!

Y I feel the same way. We just want our baby to be healthy. And with our conditions we sometimes feel guilty with the baby inside us and being so nervous all the time.

I have anxiety and I always think about the baby's heartbeat. When I go for ultrasound I'm always nervous and few weeks before I get really restless inside. And that's all I think about my baby better have a heartbeat. I've never had a miscarriage but I'm still scared for anything bad to happen.

I have a anxiety disorder. I'm 36 weeks now. Some of the things that can work for you is getting a doppler so when your anxiety rises anxiety start worrying about your baby you can here the heart beat to ease your mind. Listen to your body. It's the first to let you know you have a problem. If you haven't experience any problems then you are most likely ok. And last alot of ppl say stay stress free or it will cause harm to the baby. This statement just cause you to stress about stress itself. Your body and baby can handle a good amount of stress. But it's always great to try your hardest to find things to relax you. Good luck on your journey.

For me this is the third time I'm pregnant and I'm at 10weeks now, having some of the same issues. I've only made it to 3 to 4 weeks so this is new to me.

Same here. I've had a number of misscarrages and have not been able to relax at all. I've had 4 scans because of my complications and presumed this would put my mind and ease but it hasn't despite everything being okay:( I've suffered from depression for years and do not cope with stress very well. I've also been extremely ill with this pregnancy which makes its all worse. I literally just have to relax in bed or the bath. I've had to stop work for the time being too. I find listening to my little ones heartbeat on my doppler helps put a smile on my face though. I'm sure we will get there. Possitive thoughts :) 15 weeks and counting. Good luck

I am exactly the same way. Have also had a miscarriage and I know what it is to worry trust me. But what I've been doing this time around is that I try to just enjoy all the wonderful moments, I know symptoms can suck lol but I think of them as a good thing. I still worry but try to think that what I've gone through isn't this baby inside of me fault. My baby deserves me to be healthy and stress free for his or her well being. So although hard, every time you start worrying think of how strong and mentally prepared you have to be for this baby you have growing inside of you. I hope this helps at least a little bit.. :D
