I stay away from it. This whole pregnancy I've stayed away from soft cheeses, hotdogs, corn dogs, luncheon meat, seafood, caffeine, and I have been extra cautious about washing all fruits and veggies. None of it is worth it to be, no matter how big or small the risk

Pasteurised cheese is ok to eat. Feta is fine if it comes from a packet or been cooked. The only cheeses i avoid are those with mould on or in them. I'll sooo gorge on blue cheese as soon as pregnancy is over!

If it's pasteurized then it's safe. Enjoy your cheese!

Yeah I eat it. I've eaten cheese every morning my entire pregnancy. It is a staple in my breakfast... Lol. But I eat the cheeses that are hard and bought in a container and they are in brine. They are salty goat milk cheeses or cows milk cheeses. Arabic markets sell them. They are hard but you can easilysquish them with a fork.

Also... Sushi is fine to eat as llong as you don't eat the rolls with the raw fish. And stay away from sword fish or the fish that contain mercury.

I like the spider roll because it comes with cooked soft shell crab. Also any imitation crab meat is fine. Shrimp sushi is fine because they come cooked.. There are a lot of sushi options for you. And the fish is healthy since the omega 3 is great for ur baby

I eat everything.  As long as the cheese is pasteurized you can have it. Most stuff sold in the grocery stores is ok. However if you purchase from a Mexican market you are encouraged to read the labels to be sure. My boyfriend and I still enjoy going out for sushi. Most sushi menus have a symbol next to anything with raw fish. The only restrictions my doctors gave me was raw fish, salmon, king fish and one other one. Anyway this is baby #3 for me and never any issues just be sure to read labels. Food really isn't and issue it's mostly medicine make sure to always ask before you take anything and the pharmacy techs get paid to answer any questions you may have. Good luck!

I eat all cheese except the ones I don't like, like Alfredo ewwww it smells bad lol. Other than that I'm not "by the book" I still eat the same as if I wasn't prego and it wasn't much because I'm picky lol, it's probably why the dr tells me to pig out now so I can gain some weight!!

Haha, I know! It's so hard to avoid certain foods! I made myself an egg with a runny yolk the other day even though the yolk is supposed to be cooked through. It tasted so good! I am avoiding deli meats though, unless cooked to steaming.

I avoid all cheeses. We've had a lot of reported cases of listeria recently with soft cheeses so the drs really encourage you to avoid it here, but also cheese is pretty high in fat and I get my calcium in other ways.
