Yes, definitely beneficial. I've been getting adjusted since the beginning. I'm now almost 37 weeks with twins and with no back problems nor hip problems.
Oh yeah, no electrical tens unit... and there are special tables for big baby bellies. :-)
My chiropractor is incredible. I'm 5w4d and I had an appointment scheduled with him from before I knew I was pregnant. I called him to ask if he is TRAINED and EXPERIENCED to do prenatal chiropractic. He said yes, congratulated me, and altered our routine. He recommends adjustments every few weeks for pregnant women to prevent any back/neck and hip issues.
I suppose to go every Monday y which I go most of the time but (I know this is weird )since I found out that babies cry in utero Especially from loud bangs I keep thinking the loud bang that adjust my hips is scaring the baby but it does help
I actually started seeing a chiropractor early on in my pregnancy for lower back pain caused by the pregnancy. All I can say is WOW best decision ever. I see him every 4 weeks or sooner if the back pain returns.
I had my first appointment yesterday and wow all those cracks!
I have been seeing one for about 3yrs for neck and back pain, been going every 6-8wks throughout pregnancy, am 28wks
now.
i have been since about 8 wks. i was doing it alittle bit before i was pregnant too but not a frequent. im 32 wks and haven't had any back or hip pain at any point during my pregnancy. im a ftm son I can't compare it to not having it but i think its been one of the things that helps me. i also see an acupuncturist once a month and do Pilates with a personal instructor almost every week. im a massage therapist so i was ready to do whatever to make sure i could continue to work as long as possible. im on my feet about 5-6 hours a day and i feel awesome. :)
