Try sleeping in your rocker/glider if you have one already... when its bad...good practice for long nights with a fussy baby...I find being propped up and a Tums helps...last night sucked because I ate bad new years party food (deep fried/ baked/greasy)...
Yes I have the same problem. I'm 8 months pregnant. I have to eat small meals specially at night and I eat early like 5 or 6pm. I limit my coffee to one cup, limit my sweets and I take Zantac 150 I tablet at lunch and one after dinner. I live on rolaids in between and at night I literally use 4 pillows to prop myself up make sure i lay on the left side because that helps keep acid down and all this has made a huge difference. Small dinner and I don't snack at night. Very little water too that will cause acid. And I avoid anything that causes heartburn
I had this problem, I would choke on bile in the middle of the night. Finally asked the doctor and they gave me nexium for the acid reflux and reglan for nausea. I haven't had issues since then but I am afraid to stop taking the nexium. Luckily I am almost done.
I had the same problem id be in a deep sleep and suddenly feel fluid in my chest and throat. And jump up and run to the bathroom.Just try proping yourself up with extra pillows. Mine has eased hope this helps xx
I had acid reflux 6 years ago and went to my primary care doctor the next day and she told me my stomach lining was irritated due to so much stress...I was prescribed Aciphex which is actually safe during pregnancy and told to take rolaids when needed...I was told don't lay down after eating and stop eating three hours before bed...I healed which was great and I actually had it two nights ago now that I'm 27 weeks pregnant and it was because I ate and went to sleep an hour after that...I knew I was going to pay for that...I took a tums after the acid up my throat woke me up, very annoying, and after 30 mins I felt better but raised my back for a little while after that just in case...I told my OBGYN and she said if it gets worse to let her know...I hope this helped and definitely ask your doctor if you can take something because most of us pregnant women know that it's annoying and uncomfortable. It makes sleep impossible. Good luck Momma
