cold sore vs shingles?

I woke up yesterday which I thought was a cold sore I'm 7 wks and didn't think much of it. This morning I noticed" the cold sore"  is a little bigger and now a little further on my chin. I also have swollen glands under my chin and a slight headache. Don't know what to do?

I agree with both comments I seen my mother experience shingles it's a unexplainable pain. And will need to be treated before u even have the welt marks and pumps u will be in intense pain. She wouldn't sit down taking a shower was a challenge.

I am 25 and have had singles more times than I can count. Shingles will be extremely painful before they ever show a sign. Then they will show up as a blister and itch like crazy. I have never had them on my face but in many other places. I would suggest putting rubbing alcohol on it. It help dry up the blisters. If it doesnt hurt and itch I would say it not shingles. I would suggest telling your doctor. Its something they need to know and look at. It will not effect the baby so you dont have to worry there. Hope this helped a little.

Shingles tend to stay on one side of the body. If it's shingles though, you should be in some severe pain. My mother in law has shingles and it's pretty sad to watch. If it isnt spreading or you aren't feeling pain in other parts of your body it's prob just a cold sore.
