My dr gave me pills. 1 before bed and I always went the next day.
I'm pretty sure you can get sugar free on both of those. Definitely chat with your doctor about what a good regimen for you might be. We're all different so you have to find what works for you. Great suggestions on here though:) Good luck getting things moving;)
Watermelon! Eat 5 pieces and youll be going all day I promise
Thanks ladies. I drink coffee occasionally and have everyday for the last 3 days and nothing. I'll look into the apple and prune juice but I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes about 3 weeks ago so I'm not sure if I can drink those. I drink as much water as I can handle everyday and walk my kids to school which is murder on my back so that's about all of that I can handle. I will look into things I appreciate it.
Peanut butter toast, glass of OJ, and cup of coffee have been helping me in the mornings!
Fml. Freaking auto correct. *There are
Three arelies of natural things you can try before meds. Lots of water, wslking, warm prune juice. Increasing your fiver intake is helpful, but make sure you esp drink water with it as it'll cause constipation if you don't. There are some over the counter pregnancy safe needs to try. Colace, which is a stool softener is one that you can take daily. Many people fund that too be effective. If you haven't had a bm after trying all that stuff, usually by day 3 or 4, glycerin suppositories are approved for use in pregnancy. Not glamorous, but they work fast. You definitely want to talk with your doctor before taking anything else as Miralax is a pregnancy category C, which means it hasn't had enough study to know if it's harmful. Docs do prescribe it but usually of nothing else is working.
Prune juice did it for me. I only had a glass full and within a few minutes to an hour it would do the trick. Try it it doesnt taste bad and it wont harm the baby. Good luck!
Try oatmeal in breakfast and 3-4 plums during the day. This one definitely works ..trust me
Apple juice (room temperature) and MiraLAX. You want instant relief, get a Fleet Enema and make sure it's saline. It's easy on the stomach and it's what the hospitals use. I have to give myself one every 3 days (per my doctor and home care nurse) due to my IBS and severe constipation because of the side effects of my meds to help my Hypermesis.
Miralax worked for me! Eat lots of fiber rich foods.
Try a peanut butter and banana sandwich, lots of water, prune juice and chia seeds in yogurt. If al else fails tell your doctor to prescribe you some stool softners. Good luck.
