consultant

I'm 33ish weeks pregnant with baby 2 and i'm under consultant care (uk). My last scan I was meant to of had a meeting with my consultant but as usual times ran well behind and I had to leave. I have another appointment in a couple of weeks where I'm meant to discuss my birth plan etc but I know as is always the case I'm going to have to leave due to waiting too long and not see him again. What can I do?

My son's not really got friends in the area just his cousin but her mum is my exs sister and she works his cousin goes to another school. He is only just about to start proper school and when he went to preschool I never got to meet any other mums as I work lone nights and more often than not I'd finish work pick him up from my ex before he went work then dump at preschool go home clean make dinner pick him up feed him then get him to his dad so I could go back to work.
I have a friend who would of had him but she's unable to stand as she's had major back surgery. I have no family either. Ggggrrrr sorry it's all very hard!

I would try to reach out to some mums who's child is a friend of your son's. Start trying to network. What about family? Can you ask someone from them to help. You need to start planning. You have to plan to wait. Sometimes cases are difficult and take longer. You would expect no less with your care.

It'll be my boys first real week at school and I don't know any mums. As for childcare when I give birth so far my options are have my son in hospital with me as I'm in an 'at risk' pregnancy and can't do a home birth or organise a c section on a Saturday and leave straight after (son's dad has him Saturdays but works and this baby isn't his so won't help me out)

Who will take care of your son while you give birth? Could they do it? Or is there a mum from school who could take him home one afternoon to play with his friend just in case you're late? Or a hospital creche? He could take the day off school? No idea if any of these would work... if it were me I'd probably just bring my son for the day...

Not that simple my last appt was at 11 am I had my scan at 11.45 and was waiting for the consultant for ages o left at 1.30ish but if I was late I can guarantee they'd make me wait longer. I have a 4 year old and don't drive so have to leave the hospital no later than 1.30 to pick him up from school. I have no friends or family either it's just me and my son.
