dehydration again!

Ugh! I can't keep anything down!

I'm beyond exhausted at this point. The Zofran only works in iv. The pills aren't helping me. But they sent MW home with them anyway.

I just want today to be over with. I've been poked 3 times and on the 4th try they finally got it.

Clear liquid diet for me until tomorrow!!!

Off to bed I go! Please pray for me i need this to go away soon. I can't take it anymore.

I'm 26 weeks pregnant and honestly I've never felt like this before. And they don't know what's causing it. They suspect its the stomach flu. All my labs are normal but I did have dehydration. I'm resting now. But they wouldn't change myMedicine.I swear they act like I'm a addict lol. I just want some relief. I just called and had the refill them. Hopefully it goes away soon! Lord knows I don't need this in my life right now. O hope you get better soon darling!

I understand your pain! At 6 weeks I was diagnosed with Hypermesis (HG). I could not keep anything down including water (which is not the best for severe nausea and vomiting so don't drink a lot). On my worse day I vomited 14 hours non-stop. When I was 1st diagnosed I vomited for 33 hours. I had severely dehydration, low sodium, low potassium, extremely low blood pressure and my body was starving. I was in the ER weekly for meds and IV fluid. After 3 hospitalizations and trying Zofran in pill form, they gave me a home care nurse. I was on IV's daily, a Zofran pump that pumps the meds into my stomach 24 hrs a day, Reglan (in pill form to help with the vomiting) and Pepcid for the acid reflex. Although I could not keep food down for 11 weeks and lost 28 pounds the Zofran pump helped. I'm 22 weeks as of today. I'm still on the Zofran pump and Reglan but I'm able to eat anything now and returned to work after being off almost 3 months. It's a journey and the hardest trial of my life! But I say all that to say, you may have HG. Do some research on it!

That Is horrible. Zofran is usually only prescribed for mild nausea. Sounds like you need to having something different. Hope you feel better. Drink lotsof wwater.
