My dentist recommended holding off on my biannual check up until the 2nd trimester. Fillings, etc can also be done at that time. Unsure about whitening though..

I had a cleaning at 10w and it felt normal. Also had a cavity filled, normal. My teeth are more sensitive now that I'm prego. I use that sensitive toothpaste and it's great. Don't be worried if your gums hurt or bleed some, that's normal. :) you can always ask your Dr if your worried

Teeth cleaning is perfectly fine I'm 28 weeks and just went to the dentist last month to have my teeth cleaned and a week ago I got crowns done so it's definitely ok. I'm not sure about whitening though.

thanks for ur response.  after further research i have found out, x rays with abdominal shield or paranorma of jaw and teeth is allowed. there is usually no pain in cleanings but some cases in pregnancy it happens. my gums have been bleeding during the past 2 months but i had no pain. also fillings are allowed with local anesthesia not containing epinephrine. whitening is advised for post delivery.
