By law they have to give you maternity leave. As far as disability goes, if you let your doctor know you are over stressed, you may be able to get disability for stress/exhaustion leave. If you're in a union these are easier to get. Talk to your doctor.

Drs usually wait 6 weeks before due date unless medically necessary meaning contractions, un able to walk due to swelling or high bp due to stress. Other than the usual pregnancy discomforts ... nope.

Im on bed rest for numerous reasons. Early dilation. Risk of preeclampsia. My daughter doesn't do very well on the nst. She has failed 2 biophysical profile scans.
The day i got put on bed rest i was given a note since i needed it for college so i could take incompletes.

OkY thanks guys I talk to my big boss he said I qualify for disability when I'm close to the due date he said hell help me feel out the paper work. I've been working for over a year. So I'm okay. I'm actually having an easy going pregnancy. But I get exhausted a lot. Other then that pains her and there but baby okay and I'm okay  I guess. So I should be okay.

The day the doctor put me on rest was the day they gave me the note for work. I was taken out of work at. 29 weeks I'm on the verge of preeclampsia so the doctor did not want the added stress of work to keep my blood pressure up when with rest it's controlled. The doctor will not put you on bed rest without a medical reason if I had if my way I would of worked until the day our baby was born.

Do you live in America or another country? I believe in America it is the law that the employer must give you 6 weeks of unpaid maternity leave. You may also use FMLA which is 12 weeks of unpaid time off.  You can usually get paid during those times by using your sick time and/or disability. Disability will pay once you have the baby, but usually not before delivery unless you have a medical reason and they do not consider pregnancy a medical reason. That has been my experience anyways. Call and talk to your disability company and get the details.

Your doctor may be able to put you on light duty, but most likely will not give you a note for bedrest unless there is a medical reason. The disability company will want a true medical reason of why you can't work.  I went through this with my last pregnancy, its a pain. Most women work up until the end and then go on maternity leave once they deliver.
