dr doesnt test urine?

I'm using a new Dr this time(3rd child) and at my 10 week appt they didn't check my urine?  I asked why, and they said unless blood pressure is high, they don't.  I'm worried because between my last 2 pregnancies(the checked every visit)  they found a bladder infection I didn't know I had, dehydration a couple times, and protein in my urine(I later found out I had GD).  So I worry they might miss something?  Does anyone else have a Dr that doesn't make you pee on every visit??

My urine is checked at every visit and thank goodness because I've had a bladder infection and didn't know.

My doctor doesn't either.  I was very confused and asked why and they said there really is no reason unless they suspect something.  I am having my third and my first two I always had to too.  But my office is the top office and this is one of the top doctors (and is the top for vbacs) and it is connected to the hospital that is the top in the area and one of the top in thr country.  They are also a university hospital so all the doctors are research doctors.  So I guess I am just saying I wouldnt be too concerned.  They said they used to but thr last year or two offices are starting to phase it out.  But they said I can request it at any time if I am concerned so I am sure you can too.
