I make my own laundry soap...it has 3 ingredients, no dyes or perfumes, VERY gentle. I've used it for two babies!
I use all baby detergent for at least the first 6 months, then i just mix the babies clothes in with the rest of ours as long as there aren't any allergies. A good brand of detergent that you could use for the whole family would be all free or clear.
I plan on washing all mine, hubby's, and baby's clothes together but separating colors and delicates as I normally do. (My hubby wears business casual to work so no dirty work clothes for him LOL) however I do lobe the dreft detergent. I love the smell and and how it makes the clothes feel, and its only like $2 more per bottle than my normal detergent.
Coupons.com always has $2 off for dreft products. If you buy the 50 oz bottle that's $10, your getting it for $8. We use tide for my husband's skin and its expensive too but I clip coupons like mad to save money.
I always do my kids clothes and mine together then my husbands. I use gain. I only get special detergent like all free And clear for the first few months then use the same as ours for the baby.
I make my own laundry soap. So I know it's dye and fragrance free. :-) comes to about 1.80 for about 170 loads. :-)
LOL you should definitely not wash your husband's dirty work clothes with your baby's.
I plan on washing babies clothes separate and using arm and hammer sensitive skin.
once you purchase it, it'll last forever if you wash your clothes separate from baby. so then it won't seem as pricey.
My mom had 5 kids and only tried dreft with her first, and she was allergic! She tentatively uses whatever soap she is using at the time, a lot of the time the baby isn't sensitive to it, none of hers were. My son I used whatever detergent I was using at the time, probably all, and had no problems.
You should wash your babies stuff separate. They have sensitive skin for awhile. And when you buy the "good stuff" it won't cost you as much bc you're only washing your babies stuff and not everything else. When I say stuff, wash bedding, blankets, bibs etc anything that the baby uses separate.
I always wash my children stuff separate. But I did use draft.
Snuggle detergent is for babies and parents. Still babies should have a separate load. Try snuggle it smells amazing and cheap
Babies clothes and daddy's clothes should be separate so you should have separate laundry soap for the two. And they sell cheaper versions of dreft. Store brands and all and purex is cheaper and works the same.
I have the baby's r us version of dreft. Got 2 gallons for free with the purchase of 2 gallons.
I plan on using dreft. But not for super long. I plan on washing baby's clothes separate so o don't use It so fast with ally husband andu clothes. I added some bottles to my registry because of price and babies r us has coupons for deals sometimes.
I use the gain pods and it works really good and clothes are really soft and nice
U dont need dreft or any other baby detergent, just a simple, dye and fragrance free one :-)
Stinky sweat from hubby and baby poo and throw up can go in one load in my opinion. :) I really love tide sport. It gets everything so clean and smells great. However with it being so heavily scented I would never want to start my daughter on that and that why im asking for opinions on a good detergent to use on everyone. Never would have thought someone would say Im doing what I want and not best for baby. Eek! Thanks for the suggestions for detergent. I've seen all free and clear but never baby purex. Where have you seen baby purex babyberry000?
Long as it perfumes and dye free and for sensitive skin I think u can use any that are
I use Tide Free and Gentle on my kids clothes and I also used it to wash all of babies things.
I use all baby laundry soap.
Also I did use dreft in the beginning but now I don't she can handle most detergents
U can't really predict how ur babys skin will react to the detergent. And u have to b sure whatever u use will get everything off your husband clothes so the dirty residue doesn't stay on babys clothes even after washing....I personally think u should separate the laundry until u know the detergent u choose will work for both. My daughter has eczema and has also had a horrible skin virus that broke out every inch of her skin. She was then covered in scabs whole she was healing. All over. Just removing her pants left a dusting of scabs all over the changing table. U have to set aside wat u WANT n do wat u need. U don't know how things will affect ur child so b careful
