dry skin

ElpI've been putting lotion on 4-5 times a day. My hands elbow and arms. My hand elbow and arms are so soft BUT they tops of my hands are cracked, bleeding and feel like sand paper. My cuticles are also sooo sore the now bleed. My knuckles look like I beat a brick wall up. And burns every time I wash or dry them... I use coco butter lotion. And it works sooo good. But what's going on with my hands? the tops hurt soon much. And they are red. Its not a rash they are just dry.. like I said I moisturize 4-5 times daily.. Help!!! I can't take it any more

maybe try a different lotion. I will say if the skin is cracked, it will hurt and burn when you apply lotion and even when you wash your hands. I get dry skin issues in the winter, especially on my hands.

I've found that the body shop's hemp lotion works great, its very heavy, but soothing. I use there almond one in the summer month.

If you are using scented products this can sometimes make things worse.

You can also talk to your doctor they maybe able to suggest something else which will help heal your hands faster.

oh yeah, make sure you are drinking enough water, and sometimes coconut oil can help as well. Coconut oil is solid at room temperature, and you can apply a small amount on your hands, this will melt it.
