Original date. Bc tech going off baby at 20 weeks means baby was a litte ahead birth my baby's have been the same. And 3 days brands virtually nothing esp when you most likely won't have baby on the 20th. Original ultrasound for edd is most accurate. Doctors will not change edd until it's off by 7-10 days.
The doctor changed my due date from February 27th to February 23rd based on the measurements of my first ultrasound at 8 weeks. They won't change now unless an ultrasound measures a week or more bigger.
Yep, my due date is Feb 14, but my ultrasound measured my baby 8 days bigger, and on his tummy he was measured at 2 wks bigger. My due date didn't change cuz of it, but I expect my baby will come before his due date.
^by normal I mean the baby is not considered pre-term or late during those weeks. Some doctors might consider it late, but it's not.
Its only a few days off from the original date doctors don't like to change it unless its a week or more.
After a certain point in pregnancy babies growth changes from pregnancy to pregnancy which I why the first ultrasound early on in the pregnancy is the most accurate. It is just an estimate your doctor is the one who ultimately decides whether or not the date should be adjusted.
Your baby can be born anywhere between weeks 38-42 and be normal. The due date just gives you an idea, but most women don't deliver on their due date.
I wouldn't read too much into the exact date. Just know you'll most likely deliver in February.
Thanks that's what I thought so Feb 17 is my due day then
The ultrasound tech since she's going off the size of the baby.
They normally adjust ur due date off the 1st ultrasound done before 20 weeks. At least my doctor does.
