I've got one and after sitting on it for 20 minutes my crotch is really sore. I don't think I really used them during my other 2 labors. I'm a big fan of a warm shower while in labor.
I used one during labor and it was the only thing that relieved the pain!
I used one in labor. Easiest labor I had while still at home sitting on the ball. I progressed to 6 cm before going to the hospital. This was back labor too mind you.

I was just going to say the same thing as bigapplefamily! I have one and its brilliant for back ache! Pilates and yoga really hellped me too their are a few simple exercises you can do while sitting on it juat watching tv! Like sitting on the ball feet planted on the floor and move your hips in a clockwise circle for ten, then counter clockwise for ten, or roll your hips back wards as far as you can and forwards as far as you can (so the ball touches your back) my pilates instructor is a physio as well and she recommend them they worked very well for me!! :-) I hope it helps!!
