So I got another bacterial infection in the vajay jay, my questiin is : is there a natural way to get rid of it. I take 2 showers a day and change cotten panties 2 times a day. (Sometimes more if i caugh or sneeze and pee.) I only eat a few fruits, low fat cottage cheese, raisen bran or shredded wheat. What can I do to get rid of it or even prevent it. I am tired of getting them and using those prescriptions creams.

There's a natural remedy I've used for both BV and a yeast infection because they are both caused by bad bacteria. I buy some plain Greek yogurt because it has lactobillus in it. Lactobillus is the naturally occurring good bacteria in the vagina that is missing or too low when an infection happens. I put it in an ice cube tray and then at night I insert one cube before bed. Eating yogurt is supposed to help too but it never helped me and this did because instead of eating yogurt which goes to your digestive tract your actually putting it in the actual spot it needs to be in. It sounds weird I know but my fiance's mom is a holistic nurse practitioner and she suggested it. Just wear a pantiliner during the day because it can get a little messy

There's only one way to get rid of BV, which is by using prescription grade Metro Gel. If you've never used it, the bacterial strand can mutate and get even worse, possible miscarriage.

If your partner is not Circumcised, his penis can transfer Bacteria to your vagina and cause BV also.

Make sure you tell your Doctor about the odor you have, they don't have to run any test to give you a prescription.

Good luck Ladies

Semen itself can upset the PH balance of a vagina, as can soaps, and having multiple sex partners. I suggest not using any soap at all to clean vagina, it is self cleaning I suggest using warm water. Good luck

Also when you do shower try vagisil feminine wash. I used to have the same problem and my doctor suggested it and it seems to be helping a lot.

You may be using a soap too harsh or showering too frequently that you are killing the good bacteria that keeps the bad down to a low roar. I agree with simplylizzy about your husband may be a part of the issue and perhaps your ob can give enough meds for you both. Try vagasil cleansing gel, reduce to showering once a day and DO NOT DOUCH! All the best!!!!

Maybe your OB can give you all some advice on things you can do to prevent them from reoccuring as opposed to using condoms.

I never thought about it like that because we rarely have sex. He showers daily but not sure what else he can do. Condoms when your married and already pregnant,  not sire I can sell that to him.

It could be possible that your partner is giving it back to you once it's cleared, if you all were having unprotected sex when you unknowingly had one previously.
