I had never had the flu shot before and got it at 11 weeks I'm now 18 and had no side effect to me or bubs. My partner got it with me and really all that happened is we didn't get the flu like everyone else around us and we had a sore arm for a day

Get it and have everyone in close proximity to u get it.  Same with Tdap vaccine.

Alliestyl actually there is a supposed link between women who contract influenza in their second trimester and the child developing schizophrenia, it has nothing to do with the vaccine. Since the flu shot does not give you the flu I'd say it's a good thing to get. I get my flu shot every year since I'm a nurse and I work with children (they love to share germs) I also make my husband get it, especially this year since we'll have the baby.

I had the flu shot, best thing I did!! All my work friends and my parents had bad flu's and even my husband was not well for a week and all I managed to get was a few days with a stuffy nose! I'm a big believer in getting vaccinated against everything possible though!

I wouldn't. I went to a class taught by a well known pediatrician in my area and he showed studies that linked the flu shot to schizophrenia years later.

I would assume The effects on if you get the flu could be way worse then if you get the flu shot.

As long as you get the shot vs the nose spray you'll be fine. My ob wants me to get the flu shot asap. Along with the whooping cough vaccine
