I'm also a size 16.  I was able to get some XL clothes from Motherhood, but those are expensive.  I also ordered somethings through Walmart.com, but not everything fit.  I work in an office, so I can't go through the entire pregnancy wearing sweatpants and hoodies...but I really wish I could.  So far, I've been able to keep wearing my jeans and a couple pairs of dress pants since they sit below my belly.  I did buy a couple size 18 pants and so far that's working, too.  I think pretty soon I may be checking out Goodwill for maternity clothes, too.
As far as movement, I felt something a few times around 11 and 12 weeks.  It was pretty much daily up until 18 weeks, which was Thanksgiving time.  I didn't feel anything for about 4 days after that and finally felt flutters again.  I'm 20w3d now and this morning I woke up to go to the bathroom.  When I came back to bed and before falling asleep the baby was awake and moving like crazy.  I put my hand down on my belly and felt just barely little bumps on my belly.  I reached over and grabbed my husband's hand to feel it too.  He said it was hard to tell if it was his own pulse or if it was the bumps, but I told him every time I felt a movement so he would know.  I was pretty excited to feel it on the outside, as light as it was because my OB doctor said I wouldn't likely feel anything until around 24 weeks from the outside.  I'm sure it'll be more noticeable then though.

I'm also plus size between 14&16 and I didn't feel movements until 17-20 weeks.  Same with my first child. Nothing to worry about every woman is different.  I was thinking since im on the bigger side it might take a bit longer to feel ?? I'm now 33 weeks and this child will not slow down lol.  As for maternity clothes I went shopping and got too aggrevated that nothing fit.  So I wear men's sweats and hoodies now that its winter.  Saves me money! Good luck with the pregnancy!

I am 16 weeks and haven't felt my baby move yet. I had the same question and googled it. I found a blog a that made me laugh. The writer said it best. "Puleeeeeeeze.  Like there is fat inside your uterus that will prevent contact between your baby and the uterine wall?  Like the nerves in the area don't function in the presence of adipose tissue?  Like there is soooo much fat in the abdomen that nobody from the outside could possibly be able to feel an 8 lb. bowling ball rolling around inside?  Come on!!" I had never thought of it like this and felt better after reading. If this is your first pregnancy, as it is mine, you could possible feel it and just not know yet. I have been told it feels like a little butterfly fluttering whatever that feels like. It will become more reconizable in the next few weeks. As far as maternity clothes I have not bought any yet. i am still able to wear my jeans. I did buy a slip at walmart to act as a belly band. I do not button my pants and it holds them up pretty well. I also think I am going to stick with leggings and dresses this winter. Usually I would stray away from them but I am pregnant and want to be comfy! Sorry this was so long. I hope you feel the baby soon. Enjoy your pregnancy while it last and Congratulations!

I felt my first flutters at 15weeks,  they were very inconsistent tho, I'm 21weeks now n baby moves all the time!  Keep in mind of ur a ftm some don't feel baby till in the 20s weeks. Plus if u havenan anterior placenta then it could be harder to feel as well! I'm plus size as well n haven't gone maternity shopping. But I went to target n bought those belly bands so I'm able to wear my pants without buttoning them n so far so good!
