frustrated.

I would like to go to college in January, the class is once a week and two 12 hour weekends per semester. I am due early November so my daughter will be about 2 months old, and I know it will be difficult with breastfeeding but as long as I am able to produce extra and the classes have a break every 3 hours shouldn't it be fine? I don't understand why everyone is so against it? Did anyone else go to school this early?

You can do it mamma! It will be hard so look for support within the community.  Counselors,  teachers, mother groups and if needed a lactation consultant. (See if your insurance or programs wil help pay for one). Dont feel bad if you have to use formula or get frustrated. But this will only be good! Go you!

That's really good to know thank you! I'm so happy to see that so many woman have managed to do this! It's overwhelming thinking about how my life will change with my little angel coming in the next 19 days, but I just want to give her the beat start I possibly can.

During my 1st pregnancy, I worked one full-time job, one part-time job, went to school full-time, and breastfed exclusively for 11 months (my son began walking and wasn't interested in the boobs). Believe me when I tell you that it can be done. From my WIC office, I received a free breast pump. Bring proof that you're going to school and WIC will help you.

I am 38+4 and been going to college for couple years. I started the LPN program in august. It is a lot of work but we'll worth It! I also have a 4 year old. It is hard work but as long as you are dedicated and motivated you can do it :)

Thank you so much! I was beggining to worry about it, everyone keeps telling me not to go to school that soon but as a single mother I can't work for minimum wage while raising a daughter. It is only a year course so I would prefer to do school as soon as possible to get it done with and start our new life in a positive note.

It was hard at first (I mean the whole new life was hard :p) and a few months into it, I did experience a let down of milk (It is normal...your baby eats more and your body needs time to keep up) but I would pump about 3/4 times for 15min while at work. Working long hours does grant me more days off so I would pump at home after every feeding and freeze all milk. Wrote the date on it. We did occasionally used formula when my son was going thru growth spurts and he wanted to eat more.my son was 3.5 mo when I went back to work. You can definitely do it as long as you pump often at home and inbwtn class if you can.

That is awesome to hear :) were you able to produce enough milk to get baby through while you weren't home? How old was your child when you started back at work?
