glucose test advice please!!!!

Hi so today I went to the doctor and he told me I failed my 1 hour glucose test from my previous visit. Now i have to do the 3 hour glucose test in a week. Has anyone ever failed the 1 hour test and passed the 3 hour test? Please share.

I failed the one hour test and just had to do the three hour test the other day. I'm not sure if I passed it or not yet. I get my results back on Tuesday when I see my Dr.

I failed my 1 hour and passed the 3 hour with my first pregnancy. It was annoying doing the 3 hour test thank god I passed the 1 hour this time around lol

How far along were you when you took the glucose test? Cuz I think your due in nov.. around the same time as me and I don't have to take it til 28 weeks. I guess every doctor is different though.

I also failed first and passed second.avoids carbs, sugary stuff the night before.what I did is I schedule mine early 8am.I didn't eat anything from midnight prior.gud luck

Oh I forgot the advise part of it lol. Drink lots of water before the test so you can flush out some of the sugar out of your system. No sodas no juice.  Gallons of water a day before good luck!!!

I failed my 1 hour test and they made me take just a blood test one to see how high my sugar really was and it came back to 115 which I've heard its still normal but I'm still being sent to a specialist regardless thru my doctor. Oh well all for the health of baby. At least I didn't have to do the 3 hour one that would of killed me!!

I am a example of failing the one hour, misunderstood my ob and drank something high in sugar. 3 hours you will fast so it will possibly pass this time.

It's possible to fail the 1hr and pass the 3hr, but that usually only happens if you ate something that may have messed up the 1hr. That's why they tell you too fast for the 3hr that way there's nothing in your system to alter the results.

My doc.didn't tell me to fast before my 1 hr test and I had a big break breakfast that morning and I failed my 1 hr. test. He later told me you don't have to fast but should avoid certain sugary or starchy foods but of course I didn't do that lol. For the 3 hr I fasted all morning before the test and passed with flying colors!

Did u eat or drink b4 u took the 1 hr test
