having a hard time

Hey I need some help coping with all of this. 2 months ago while roller skating I broke my leg. I was fine with that even though I broke it good enough that I needed surgery and would not be allowed to walk for 6 months. A week after I broke it I was in the hospital when suprise they told me I was also pregnant. They had no choice they needed to do surgery so they did a spinal tap which they felt would be safest for the baby
After a few visits to thw dr now it looks like this is a viable pregnancy and I'm almost 10 weeks. So between leg pain and surgery pain I also have morning sickness and all the other things that go into dealing with a first pregnancy.  I am having a little bit of a hard time staying positive.

Wow what a story! Stay strong you can do this! When I was in 5th grade I broke my femur (thigh bone) on the play ground, I had a near death experience My body went into shock. I was then bayflighted and had surgery on my femur they put some rods in my leg. I was in the hospital for 8 days, wheel chair for 3 months, crutches for what seemed like forever, and walked a little funny for about 6 months after that. The rods in my leg (that they did take out) made my hips a little unbalanced as in one is higher than the other, sense I hit a growth spurt while the rods were still in me. all of this made me so much stronger though and so happy I lived! stay strong girl! the morning sickness will go away soon (I have a 6 month old)!

Wow! I kinda get you. I had a bad car accident when I was 19 and had multiple fractures. I recovered in about three months from a broken leg, femur, hip, arm, shoulder and pelvis all on my right side.... The docs were pretty impressed but I did it all because I couldn't afford.to stay in bed and needed a fast recoverie. All I'm saying hunn is that just because the situation seems bad it doesn't mean it will be like that for ever. All you need is motivation and what more then that baby growing inside of you...Best if luck and wish you a good recovery!

It must be hard for you rite now. Just remember the beautifull baby you will bring into the world as you continue to recover. The morning sickness and surgery pain will fade. I had knee surgery years ago but not while being pg, so i can only imagine the combonation of things that must be happening. Look forward to your apts, and mabye get a home doppler so you can hear the babys heart beat whenever you want to. Its such a thrill to hear each time it may be uplifting for you. They arent very expensive and very worth it.
