hospital bag for csection

For the ladies that have had scheduled csections, i never packed a bag with my first son. I just had dad bring clothes for little man when he got there. Its been 5 years and i just dont know with a scheduled csection what items to bring for my self. Should i worry about shampoo and face wash and stuff? I was in bed un able to walk the first 2 days with my first and i cant remember if i showered or washed my face during my five day stay..sorry this is long im just at a loss for what to bring for myself.

I think it's unlikely you'll shower while in the hospital,  but maybe.  You'll probably want something prettier than a hospital gown to wear -  a loose fitting  set of PJs would be good,  or a night gown with buttons down the front so you can breastfeed.

Also,  deodorant,  mints,  toothbrush and paste,  a hand mirror and makeup.

One of the greatest things you can bring is a big bowl of candy for the nurses,  with a cute note on the bowl,  "thanks nurses and docs for making my birth so special!".   Changes a lot of attitudes.  ;D

Best wishes with the birth.

Hi there. Yes, you should be getting up (very slowly) from the day after the op. my first shower was 24 hours after the c section. Moving a little and gently each day is important to recovery. I was told not to raise arms above head though.
All the best!
