induction stories please share!!!!!!!!!

On monday i am getting induced due to gestational diabetes.. I would love to hear birth stories from those who have been induced before. This is my fist child and obviously first time being induced. I know that all experiences are different but would like to know somewhat how the experience may go. Like how long was labor, pain, process, epideral, did you end up with a c section.. Im schedualed to go at 7 30 and from there i suppose they will start me on ivs and then break my water.. I would love to hear from you ladies!!!!!

I'm getting induced Monday morning at 9am lol. Good luck to both of us cuz I'm nervous too. I was induced with my 2nd pregnancy (this is my 3rd) because I was waaay overdue. I remember that it was very boring waiting for the medicine to thin my cervix, I had an epidural, i don't remember the pain being all that bad. Actually, i was able to get up and go to the bathroom on my own two feet right after delivery. After waiting for a long time to get to the pushing phase, delivery was super easy. I think I may have pushed like 3 times and my baby came out, no tearing, no problems. I had a pretty good experience getting induced before so I'm hoping everything will go smoothly this time also. The best advice I can give you is 1) Bring lots of stuff to do (magazines, books, tablet, games) 2) sleep while you can because it's annoying when you finally doze off after hours of waiting just to have to wake up and push lol 3) Bring yourself a box of popcicles and ask the nurse to keep them in the freezer for you. That's what I remember most about the experience, being totally thirsty and parched (those darn ice chips don't help at all! )

My son was my first and I had to be induced because I was overdue and wasn't showing signs of labor. Went in at 5:30am and had him 14 hours later at 8:30pm. I feel that if I didn't have the pitosin iv I could have done it without pain meds and an epidural. I have a very high pain tolerance but that pitosin wasn't a joke. I got the epidural at 7.5cm dilated. I wish you a healthy labor and delivery. It's not horrible to be induced but the pain for some is worse than going into labor on your own. Good luck!

I was induced with both pregnancies. With my oldest son they induced me 2 day early because I was having problems with Braxton hicks at night and was wanting to just end it. I was in labor for 22 hrs. I had an epidural and pushed for about an hour. His head was huge, so he tore me a little. Not enough to need stitches though.

My Second boy I was a week late. I asked my midwife to do a sweep on my and I guess my sack was super thin and low because she accidentally broke my water. I water till 9 pm that night to go into the hospital because they said if contractions didn't start by then, to come in anyway to be induced. It was a pretty easy labor. I was pushing I by about 11 pm with no epidural. He came out after a half hour of pushing 9.4lb. I'm hoping I go into labor with out pitocin this time but we'll see I. A few weeks. Lol.

I went in bc I was in soooo much pain tht I wasn't sure I was in labor or not. Went to the doc and he agreed to induce me the nxt week, if the baby didn't come on his own. He didn't lol, so they called me to come in for to get induced. When I got there they already had the room and everything prepared. They didn't waste any time, the doc came in and explained everything and asked if I had questions. He then broke my water, by this time it's about 11am - noon. I ended up falling asleep, then woke up when my contractions started to get too intense for me to sleep through. I wasn't in so much pain tht I made a fuss about it, it was more like having a bad stomach ache. Around 5 I asked for an epidural.....when it was finally time to push it was about 8- 8:15.  My son was born at 8:39!

I went in at night and got my Iv started right away. They gave me the picocin and it was a waiting game. Eventually they gave me some painkillers because the contractions were getting stronger. I ended up waiting overnight since I wasn't progressing well. My hubby put pressure on my back since the baby was backwards and the back labor was really strong. Early in the morning I was exhausted so they got me an epidural and I got some sleep. They also started the floppe bulb thing. When I finally was far enough along they broke my water and we waited a little more. When they told me I could push at anytime I ended up taking a cat nap because I was super tired. When I did push it was really really quick.  Overall it wasn't super bad just long and tiring. It was a total of 30 hours. My epidural was amazing it was just strong enough to not be in pain but I could tell them every contraction.

The great thing was that my second baby came in a total of six hours
