insomnia

I just found out in pregnant. :) Going by my last period I'm at 4 weeks. Setting up doctor visit tomorrow. Very excited have been trying for 4 years. But I have been told insomnia comes with pregnancy but I always heard it was once you got bigger. I of course am not showing, no bloating, no morning sickness Thank goodness that's going to be the worst. But I feel tired at night fall asleep for a little than am wide awake until like an hour before my alarm goes off for work. Any suggestions, advice greatly appreciated.

I had insomnia prior to pregnancy.  My Dr told me to take unisom or benadryl.  Neither are habit forming and perfectly fine for baby.  I've been taking it almost every night my whole pregnancy.  I'm 39 wks

Congratulations!  Not on the insomnia though lol I was the same way in the beginning I would wake up at 230 n not be able to go back to sleep. But I would wake up with severe nausea I'd have to watch some cereal watch some TV and eventually fell back asleep about an hour before getting up for work. I had to set my alarm earlier and earlier so I can try n make it on time my nausea and vomiting was so bad. Have u  tried taking a warm bath or shower? I have insomnia again I'm 33 weeks.  It comes and goes some days I sleep through the night others I'm up at 130 :/
