itchy hands and feet

I'm 33 weeks and everytime I lay down, my hands and feet itch so bad that it keeps me awake at night. I've tried washing them, rubbing with lotion and ice packs to try and numb the pain but nothing helps. Has anyone else experiecnced this? It's 2 in the morning so I'm debating on just waiting until morning to call my doctor, it's just so uncomfortable I don't know what to do. Anything helps.

Yes I agree with that it could be cholestasis, the results take a week to come back and since you're 33 weeks I would call asap if your dr doesn't know what to test for it's a bile acids test you must specifically be tested for this to determine cholestasis. There can be problems with the baby after 37 weeks. Good news they will/should give you a drug to help with the itching and it will go away after delivery.

Itching on the palms of your hands and base of your feet can be symptoms of choliostatsis. You should see a doctor if the itching is really bad as it can cause problems for you and your baby and can cause complications. My mum had it with my little brother and had to be induced early. Good luck :).x

I have never dealt with that.. but maybe taking an allergy pill? I know zyrtek is okay to use when prego cuz my dr had me on it for morning sickness. Maybe something to look into?
