Hi! I had surgery to remove my gallbladder when i was like 4 weeks pregnant...but i had no idea!, my pregnancy test from my pre-ops came back negative, because it was taken too early on. After the surgery i felt like i wasn't recovering!...was nauseous all the time, lol. Until my  surgeon told me my symptoms aren't connected to the surgery, and maybe i should take a pregnancy test..
Of course i was expecting, and thankfully everything was ok. So i don't think u need to worry too much. Good luck!

I have gallstone which were diagnaosed at 5 weeks pregnant but had been there long before that without my knowing. Had no effect on our conceiving. Now i am 29 weeks pregnant. I was being followed by a surgeon to make sure all was ok and so far so good. It was pretty bad but they were able to control the infection and i am just riding it out now!  They dont want to operate on anyone pregnant unless they absolutely have to for fear of miscarriage or preterm labour. If they have to do it they try in the second trimester when you are far enough along but not too big they cant get at the gall bladder.  I am scheduled for surgery 6 weeks after my little guy gets here. I am on a very strict diet to make sure i dont anger my gallbladder and force a surgery.  Good luck

I had a Cholecystectomy 3 years ago, but I wasn't pregnant. It's not a severe procedure, so I doubt it'd hurt your baby. It was an outpatient procedure. I know, if you were told it had to be removed, you won't survive if you try to go without the gallbladder removal. I had no choice when I had mines removed, it was on the verge of bursting. If you're at that point, get it done. You can't get another you.

I was operated to remove gallbladder about 2years ago. Pregnant of 6months. No one told me anyhthing about problems in pregnancy related to gallstones. I dont know about having the stones and being pregnant, i mean unless its the size of a lemon youll get your gallbladder removed. Aside the scars healing, i dont see both related. Im sensible to bile reflux, but nothing else. Ask this question to your local health center or your next alpointment, but i woulnt worry.
