miscarriage question

how does it take to have a miscarriage because I dont understand. They gave me some pills (misopostol) after I left school Wednesday and nothing happen.  yday I got some more pills and I start cramping not bad and pass 3 grape size clots. That was it. I stop bleeding completely and then later. I start spotting is this normal

So sorry for your loss hun. I had a missed miscarriage with my first and opted to do the dnc. If they have to do one they will give you meds to help with pain. And peeing is like fire shooting out of you the first few times. Otherwise as long as you rest and take the meds they give you you'll be oh k. (This is if you need a dnc.) I really hope you don't though.

Sorry for your loss.. I have miscarried once before, I didn't need the pills so my experience is probably different. I bled for about 5 days was like a very painful heavy period!! You may find your next period to be heavy and maybe a little more crampy than normal.

Sorry for your loss. I've suffered 2 miscarriages & they were both LONG! Like 4 weeks, but I ended up passing it naturally with no DNC. Just always be prepared that u may start bleeding again. Prayers ur way. Try again!!!

That wasn't my first miscarriage but my first DNC n I wished I couldve avoided it. It hurt really bad. Good luck to u.

I went in bcuz i was still feeling prego a month later (was trying to give ny body time to adjust) They did an ultrasound to c if there was left over tissue n blood work every two days to make sure the levels were going down.I needed a DNC the ultrasound showed tissue.

I still feel pregnant Im bout 10 weeks. I dont have a follow up ultrasound just blood work. U okay,  but u did sound rude

I took the misoprostal when I had a missed miscarriage in April. I tried to wait for it to happen naturally but my uturus was still growing evwn though the baby had passed. My Dr told me to insert them vaginally for best results. I was 8 weeks along and it was very painful. If you were very early, you may have passed what you needed to. I had a follow up ultrasound to make sure everything was expelled. Hope this helps.

Yes make sure u go n listen to ur body. When I still had some tissue left I was still having pregnancy symptoms n had to have a DNC. Good luck

Not to be rude but I can't get on birth control because of the side effects. Second we used a condom . So clearly we wasn't trying to get pregnant.  This was my first time ever in my life getting pregnant.  I wanted my child. thank you all I go back to the dr on Monday

I had a "missed abortion". The baby died but my body didn't realize it yet and expel it. They wanted to give me the meds also to start the process, I chose to let nature take its course. I was around 10 weeks and there was huge clots and very heavy bleeding. I think you should consult your doctor to be sure your body expelled all the tissue or your could get an infection.

I had a miscarraige two years ago. (My second) I never knew I was pregnant, around three months when it happened. The doctors said I had lost the fetus mosy likely a couple weeks before I actually passed everything out. Follow up because they can do a DNC if needed where they will scrape and prevent from infections. Not a fun or exciting process. Love sent your way.

,I know u said your not trying to be rude but she had miscarriage. Sometimes if your body doesn't expel the baby on its on he doctor will give you the same meds prescribed for abortion to get the process going. @ may222014  sorry for your loss and most likely the 3 blood clots was what u needed to pass. Be sure to go to a follow up appointment to be sure everything came out and you don't get a infection.

Like abortion pills?
If you had 3clots then most likely the pills worked. Not to be rude but get on birth control so you don't have to go through these types of situations. If not that then there's always condoms. Goodluck
