mucus plug

I am almost 36 weeks and have read about losing your mucus plug. I have read so many different things about this im not sure what Im looking for or what to expect. I have read some women lose it all at once and some gradually. Some say it should have a little blood in it, some say that there was no blood. I have also read that when losing your mucus plug you could go into labor that day or weeks later. Should I inform my doctor asap or let them know my next visit.  Please give any advice or own experience!

I'm 36w pregnant, I lost MOST of it at around 32-33w.. Sunday Niqht I noticed I lost the rest of it, and at the Drs today he confirmed I lost the rest of it.
TMI, But were all ladies here and going threw the same thing.
It was not bloody or brown, it honestly looked like moccos(boogers) when your sick and blow your nose. It was lil tiny gulps at a time when I would wipe. Sometimes when I'd turn around to the Tolit i could even see Lol gulps in the water I was Soo grossed out but excited cause it was me losing my plug.
Some ladies have been known to go into labor after losing it, some have not. Everyone is different.
I have been contracting since about 28W, but ever since I lost my plug everything's been the same. My dr did tell me though my daughters in position (has been for about a week) and with my contractions and finally lost rest of plug she can come anyday(;
But if your real concerned talk to your dr. Good luck !

When I was first pregnant I lost all of my mucus plug when I was going pee. Not to gross you out but it looked like a ball of snot with a little bit of blood and I totally felt it when it came out. Call your doctor and let him/her know right away. Sometimes it takes a few more days till you actually go into labor but sometimes that's all your body needs to start it. As for me, I went into labor that same night.  Remember,  everyone's different though.
