need labor to start! what to do?

I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow and I need labor to start ASAP! I've been having contractions for weeks and I dont dilate at all. I've walked, went up and down stairs, had sex and squated for days now and nothing happens. My Dr wants to induce but I want baby to come naturally and I think I cant wait much longer. The pain is very annoying and I don't feel good at all! What do you ladies recomend?! Need something urgently!

39+2 I am being induced on tuesday also because I am not dilated or effaced at all. My ob doesn't want me to be to pass 40wks because of early complications in the pregnacy. They will have to give me meds to thin and dilate cervix open and then they will start pitocen for contractions. I really don't think there is nothing you can do except wait till your body is ready to go into labor, and if you wait your baby will end up being a 10 or 11 pound baby. I am not gonna wait to go into labor naturally cause it may be 42wks untill my body is ready and that is unsafe for me cause of my earlier problems dont want to endanger her.

They want to induce because my baby is almost 9 pounds and my Dr says I cant deliver him if he's too heavy!

I tried nipple stimulation also. And it does get my contractions going, but the problem is not that. Is the dilation! :( my cervix is completely closed.

The primrose oil will only soften ur cervix it does the same thing as sperm it won't make u go into labor. I used it but didn't really do anything for me. Good luck also look up pressure points to help induce labor it'll show u where they r also nipple stimulation.

Unless the baby has to be delivered For medical reasons you can deny to be induced . good luck

Just Google ways to self induce and start going to town trying them all. Don't do anything that sounds a bit off because it is the internet.

I took lots of long walks and sat on my medicine ball when watching tv and kinda moved the hips around.  Mexican food worked the first time.  The last couple weeks just seem to drag!  Good luck.

Technically they won't even induce until 39 weeks if you are not in any real distress....so I'd say you still have a week to go at least. 40 weeks is full term, so if you don't want to induce and go natural, you've got 2 weeks. I went 42 weeks and then got induced....so its a crap shoot. Try walking up and down stairs repeatedly....for as long as you can stand it :-)
