I was working 2-11 and my husband was working 11-7 when we had our son Id say try to keep schedule consistent even on weekends and I had 12 weeks fmla and when my so  was 5 weeks old I got mastitis I went on antibiotics for and had to pump n dump so he got aa bottle for 10 days and I went back to boob only after that until I went back to work and he refused the bottle and made it an all night diner whenever I was home. Point is once u introduce the bottle keep it up a couple times a day

I think it made it sleeping at night easier for the baby, but I don't have anything to compare it with. My kid was just an easy sleeper. I have heard that the reason babies are usually up all night is because that's when you were sleeping while pregnant and when they we're awake. And when you are a ale and moving, they are jostled to sleep. By that logic, our nocturnal schedule will make it easier for baby to sleep at night. I hope that made sense.

As for the cramping, I don't know if the sleep affects it. Every pregnancy is different. Cramping is def normal, just shouldn't be very painful. I had a ton of cramping this time round the clock that felt like pms cramps. A little scary, but seemingly normal.

I noticed a lot of girls saying that they have cramps at night ... I have a seemed a little worry some (I had a miscarriage before) I never felt these cramps with my first but I wasn't awake at night either ..did u experience these more cause we are awake at the time our body is deciding to "grow" .. I'm 5 weeks 6 on Monday ... it feels different then last time and it tends to go away .. I have a call into my doctor but was wondering if anyone else felt that way ......also did this shift make it harder to get Ur baby to sleep through the night or easier?

I have worked graveyard shift 11-6am for several years. Have a 1 year old and am.pregnant now with #2. What is it that you are wanting advice on? I have loved this shift and found that I have more time with my son than I would with a more conventional schedule. The one thing I would say OS critically important is to stick to a regularr and.consistant sleep schedule in all one chunk, not several naps. As far as breastfeeding goes, you will most likely be pumping at night, or any time you are awake without baby. Then your sig other can feed them that milk while you sleep or work. Let me know if you have any more questions. I'd be happy to help any way that I can.

I do. My coworker has a 3 month old and the baby doesn't sleep at night. Only when she is off. So her husband catches hell. She waits to breastfeed or pump when she gets home. Im hoping I dont have a disconnect with my baby becsuse of my shift. I hope someone gives us advice on this.
