Dogs can't sh it on command though because they are angry. Peeing... yea. I would say to bring her to the vet just to make sure. Dogs don't usually poop in their space unless something is wrong.. I totally agree they act out and get jealous but if it were my dog I wouldn't chop it up to that. Even if she is acting "normal" dogs dont always showcase being sick like us humans. They don't know to lay on the couch and rest when their tummy is upset. My black lab got super sick last year when we wherein Hawaii, out best friends were house/dog sitting for us. They swore she was pi ssed because we were gone because she was going poop in the house which she NEVER did, not even as a puppy, but she was still her normal self wanting to play ball and bark at UPS driver. We took her in when we got home because it hadn't stopped. Come to find out she was really sick with an unknown parasite ansneeded 2 rounds of antibiotics. not saying that's the case but if it doesn't stop I'd bring her in. Just my opinion.

You have a shihtzu??? I have a lot of experience with that breed of dog. They can get angry or jealous and act out and by act out I mean shizz where they aren't suppose too. So it very much could be the baby or something else bothering her.

If it's not diarrhea then she probably isn't sick. I know my dogs have sensitive stomachs and get sick sometimes. It's always diarrhea when the they can't hold it here.

Put her on a feeding schedule.  Feed her twice a day, one cup dog food, half can wet food. You can add a hand full of green beans if you want.... feed once in the morning, once at night.
I suggest once at 7am and then 7pm. Leave dog outside for 2 to 4 hrs after eatting then bring the dog in.
Having a proper eatting schedule will put the dog on a potty schedule as well. And eliminate mistakes in the house.
Also, after you do the 4 hrs outside for a couple weeks, you can move to 2 hrs outside. As long as you keep the feeding schedule.
Also start feeding the dog in the crate for breakfast and dinner. And keep the water bowl outside.
This will also help, so she knows to go outside for water, which while she is out their she can pee and do her business.
Feeding the dog in the crate will help with association of how she views the crate. She will associate it with food and sleep. Not potty. And the food will make it to where it's a happy place.
You can try this if you want. This is what i been doing with my german Shephard,  he had yet to have a accident.  And he sleeps through the night in his crate.

How old is your dog? My pug is 1.5 yrs old and still sleeps in his crate.. That's Because he is bad and will get into stuff if we let him roam free at night lol. But he is really good.  I know my vet told me with my other pug that if you walk them and it gets their bowels moving and Maybe then your dog will go to the washroom before you put her in her cage.

Because unattended she likes tearing stuff up. So she is out when we are home and when we go to sleep we put her up

why is she in a cage and not freely roaming?
maybe it's her way of showing that she doesn't like the cage?!

If she is in a cage I would say something is wrong with her, dog's do not go to the bathroom in their space unless it's a definite emergency and they can't help it. They don't want to sleep in their own waste anymore than we do. Make sure she is drinking and eating normally.

I had a 9 month Boxer puppy that recently started acting out. She went from sleeping through the night and behaving to being up all night and crying for no reason. I believe its because of the baby... We ended up having to give her to someone else it got so bad. We live in an apartment and couldn't keep her acting out like that.... I miss her so much...

It definitely could be because the baby. Especially the further along you are. Dogs can sense it. And your dog might be getting jealous and acting out.

Did you switch food? Or maybe the batch of food you got was contaminated. Dogs don't like to go where they sleep.
