prenatal vitamins

One of my prenatal vitamins have DHA but no iron, and the other has iron but no DHA...The one with iron has a little higher percentage of vitamin C as well...which one should I take?

If I take the one with no DHA is it ok to takr Advocare Omega Plex supplement on the side? Or should I take the vitamin with DHA and take iron on the side?

These have me confused!:)

The most important thing to have in your vitamin is folic acid

Find one that contains them all, or take a separate supplement that contains the missing component. While pregnant you don't want to go without iron. You can become slightly anemic even while taking a prenatal that contains iron.

I take a generic prenatal, fish oil, AND iron supplements. It's safe to take more than one. Just make sure you tell your doctor about everything you're taking.

Make sure you take the vitamin with iron. You need the rest but you really need iron during pregnancy. Not taking the proper suppliments can lead to birth defects. Good luck :)

I take a prenatal vitamin with iron and also a DHA only prenatal vitamin. I'm 8w+2d and haven't been to my first obgyn appt yet, have that at 10 weeks. Don't know if this helps, just what I decided to do. I've read a lot about how good DHA is for baby brain, joint, eye, skin and heart health so that's why I supplement that :)
