procrastinating big time..am I the only one? =(

This is my 3rd child and I feel bad because I have absolutely nothing for him ok maybe like 6 onesies a box of wipes..pack of socks and 2 sleepers from my mom...I had a babyshower with my first son and got tons of hand me downs from my sis since her boy and mine are only 4 months apart..then my 2nd is a girl so they threw me a babyshower being she's the only girl in the family...I obviously didn't save anything from my son being he's 5 already and my sis has a 3yr old so I gave her the hand me downs..I don't want a babyshower for this one bc I don't want ppl to feel sorry or or talk about me...being Christmas and all then my daughters 3rd bday bills and all I can never catch a break...I'll be 30 weeks this Friday I guess I should really get on it... =(

You sound like me. My first baby was a boy and I had a baby shower and got hand me downs from my sister in law. My second was a girl too but I didnt get a baby shower so I just waited until tax time and got all her stuff since she was due in april. This is my second boy and my oldest is almost 5 as well. Since he was born my sister in law has had twin boys and her last was a boy but she already gave away most of her stuff or sold it. A friend of mine bought a huge black trash b as. full of clothes on craigslist for 20 so I have enough newborn stuff and luckily my husbands niece is going to give me some boy clothes for 3-6 months and up. I bought a bassinet on craigslist for 20, a jumper on craigslist for 20, and a carseat with two bases on craigslist for 25. I had to clean everything but most of it is like new or at least nice enough with all the parts so it really helped. I still need a lot of stuff to (28 weeks) will be 29 weeks as of friday. I dont know if you normally get a tax refund but if you do then I suggest filing asap in january so you are at the top of the refund list and have some money to put towards baby items. Thrift stores or baby second hand stores usually have some great finds for cheap prices and craigslist of course is helpful.

This is my 1st baby/pregancy. I have not bought anything except a baby diaper bag. I'm not worried or anything cuz this baby will have everything when she is born. In my culture, when the baby is born, people come & visit & bring tons of baby items. We don't do baby shower before the baby is born, we do afterwards. I'm excited to meet my first baby. I'm 32 weeks. Don't feel bad.

Don't feel bad, I'm 31 wks and don't have any of the essentials neither and I'm not getting a baby shower.  Oh well, I don't feel bad, cuz I know that baby will have what he needs by the time he's here.  No biggie.

Me too! I am 36 weeks with twins and didn't even have their crib set up....I started gathering stuff about 30-31 weeks.....at least with this pregnancy (my third as well no baby shower) we know what we need and don't have to spend on the stuff we don't need.

This is my 3rd one as well. I opted out of the baby shower for this one so over the last several months I've been slowly collecting things
