How soon after giving birth did you wait to have sex?? Im not in a hurry just wondering how soon or how long all the other mommies waited. Also if u didnt wait 6 weeks how was it?

Its always best to wait 40 days after you have ur baby so you dont get infections and for everything in there to come out..i know alot of women wait 60 days plus after i had my babies i never want to think of having sex again lol

Thanks ladies! My hubby is in the marine corp and is stationed in japan so he will only be here for 3 weeks after the birth. Lets see if he gets lucky before he heads back lol

I waited a long time with my first but I had no partner, so I didn't think anything of it.
With this one, I want to wait at least two months. I don't care if my doctor says I'm okay before that, even though that's not exactly a sad thing to hear lol I'd rather just play it safe. I imagine we'll be exhausted anyway, I'll have baby all afternoon and night and my SO works full time plus he'll be responsible for our little one from about midnight to 6-8 am.

I waited 2 weeks had 3 stitches from birth and it went ok but I found out after that u can give urself a nasty infection if ur not healed up inside not just from tearing. Luckily I went on antibiotics anywaz for mastitis but it definitely scared me something to consider

Depends if you've got stitches or not in my opinion,  with my first I had lots of sticthes and we waited 10 days and it was awfully painful - with our second I had stitches but not as many and we waited almost 3 weeks and it was fine :)

I waited 4 weeks. Even though all mine are c-section so I don't understand why they say I should wait 6 nothin came outta there lol

I waited 2 weeks after my first and 10 months later I had my second lol

I waited 3 weeks with 1st I'd had 2 stitches and it wasn't very nice Prob should have waited.
With 2nd i had no tears and waited 11 days felt normal ish  
With 3rd i lasted 9 days was not painful at all  :)
