sex during pregnancy

hi lovely ladies,

I'm currently 6weeks 6days prego and for the first time since finding out I'm pregnant my hubby & I (tried to) have sex today.

neither of us enjoyed it much cuz we were very careful and conscious. Finally we stopped before finishing (*lol*) because we dont wanna risk any complications, especially in 1st trimester.

is it ok to have sex during pregnancy?  any positions that are better or worse?
with or without condom / lube?

thanks for your help.

Pregnant sex is the best sex for me. Enjoy it everything is heightened, and feels so intensified lol. That baby is protected by the best cushioning nature could provide.

Unless you're doctor restricts you or you aren't comfortable, you are good to go! We've had some of the best sex of our lives since I got pregnant. ;)

Dont be alarmed if you have spotting afterwards it can irritate your cervix

Unless ur doc says not to because of some complications its totally safe u dont have to use a condom ur cervix will be closed and u have a mucus plug to keep everything out use water based lube and as ur belly gets bigger u just may find some positions uncomfortable so experiment whats good for u guys and a lil cramping after is normal especially if u orgasm (which they say is relaxing to the baby because of all the feel good hormones released and muscle contractions) if u have any bright blood or bad pain then call the doc

there are no restrictions in the first trimester, the embryo is very well protected. just be aware that your cervix is extra sensitive. so long as you are monogamous and clear of infections, you do not need a condom - you are already pregnant ;)
but you might need lube as vaginal dryness is common during pregnancy. Waterbased lube is what you should use

You can have sex all through your pregnancy just as long as it feels comfortable for you.  It's trial and error really, some positions are better than others during each trimester. We find it good lay on our sides with my hubby behind.  Each to their own x

Whatever you are comfortable with is completely safe.
