sick of the waiting and worry

Hey ladies I'm 26 and was never supposed to be able to have children due to health issues I developed when I was 22. To my amazement I got pregnant at 24. My pregnancy was very complicated, but after 10 hospital vists, and numerous doctors vists I delivered my healthy baby. My son is now 8 months and I am pregnant again! I'm so so happy, because the doctors told me at my six week post vist that there was no need for me to be put on birth control and that I should consider just removing everything, because my son was a fluke and it would never happen again.
Doctors, very wrong. So, I went in and I was 4 weeks 5 days. They did an ultrasound and said they saw the sac, but no baby. The us lady was wonderful and said that it was just too early and that everything looked like what it needed too. I'm just worried bc I know this is going to be a high risk pregnancy and I want to know that I have a healthy baby growing in there. My doctors visit was 3 weeks ago, I'm 8 weeks now, and the doctor won't see me again until I'm 12 weeks!
Does this seem crazy to anyone else? I was seen at least every two weeks from the start with my son bc of the possible problems (he was still born two months premiere). And I just want to know my baby bean is healthy!

I understand your frustration, but if anything happens before twelve weeks, there's honestly nothing that the doctor can do to help anyway.
I'd just look forward to some great ultrasound pics at twelve weeks!

I also don't like the waiting game. I'm 7 weeks+3 and I'm waiting to be seen by the nurse for my initial prenatal appointment. I was just in the er last night due to cramping and they did a pelvic exam along with a ton of blood work and a ultrasound. I've always been told if you ever feel like somethings wrong just go to the er to be seen. Congrats on your son and your new little bundle :)

Yeah, lots of doctors won't see you until 10-12 weeks. Given your past, I don't blame you for worrying. Just know tho if you wait until the 12 weeks, your ultrasound will be much more satisfying and you will see much more. Congratulations on both your son and now #2 :)

I'm sure it'll be fine. You'll be able to see and hear the baby so it'll be exciting. Some doctors just like to wait until 12 wks. You can always go In to the er for a ultrasound to make you feel better.I did for spotting at 5.  Wks and it didnt show much other then the sac. At 7wks 5days I had one w my ob bc of my spotting and we saw the baby and heartbeat. :-) usually ultrasounds and check ups are scheduled separate so make sure.your 12 WK apt is a ultrasound bc you'll be super sad if you think your getting one and not get it!. Good luck.
