side cramp

I am 30 weeks and just today I have an extremely sharp pain in my side that won't go away. It's almost like when you're running and get a cramp in your side. Are these contractions or my muscles stretching?  It has been a constant pain for about 30 minutes now.

Yes definitely get it checked out ASAP !! I had horrible pain in my right side that felt like a pulled muscle come to find out I have kidney stones and have had 2 surgeries so far and another next week. Don't want to scare you but the sooner the better

Please consider getting this checked out. Don't want to scare you but I've had  severe abdominal pain twice so far in my pregnancy. The first time was almost 2 hrs long and the second was almost an hr but more severe. I could barely move and in tears. My entire right side was tight like one big contraction and was unbearabe to touch. Went to l&d friday night and was kept in.  Two Dr's diagnosed placenta abruption which can be very serious. Being monitored closely by my Dr. so again please consider getting this checked.

It's called round ligament pain and totally normal.

I had this also and not sure what it was either.
