I'm using it all!  Hahaha. It is mostly genetic, have a slow steady weight gain, and staying hydrated.  But why not rub the oil on, it can hurt!  My fav is bio oil and Burts bees mama bee. I use the oils at nite and pour in the bath and Palmers coco butter lotion during the day so I'm not so greasy.  I have the Palmers next to the sink and reapply every time i pee.... which is alot :)  37+4 no stretch marks yet but I know they can show up into the very last day!  Good luck mamas :)

If you research it nothing had been shown to help to be honest.  It's all genetics so they say. I lotioned with vit e and coco butter and still got them with my first.  They did fade eventually.  I haven't gotten any new ones with this one (my third). But I'm only 27 weeks so who knows!

Bio oil worked great for me! I poor it in my bath water throughout my entire pregnancy and had hubby rub my belly after baths as well. I have not one stretch mark from my first pregnancy. Second pregnancy will hopefully be just as good!

I'm prone to stretch marks and I didn't get any with my first. I used Bella B Tummy Honey Butter. I give credit to it since I have stretch marks everywhere else just from normal growing from puberty. You can get a free tub at duematernity.com. It has everything I  it that other prevention methods claim that makes it work. Vitamin E, cocoa oil, aloe. It's everything in 1!

I'm not sure if anything helps. I use palmers skin therapy oil. I think everyone is different my sister and I are five weeks apart. I'm 38 weeks going to     be 39 weeks on Saturday and I have stretch marks she used conditioner everyday and lotion plus gained more weight then me and got no stretch marks. So I'm not too sure if anything works.

Bio oil does not work at all!! But I'm going to try the Palmers lotion I see that in baby books. I think the right foods n staying active will help n it also depends in how big u get. My middle child I gained 75 lbs I was 125 b4 pregnancy 200 at the end and she gave me stretch marks. She was also my biggest baby

I love the Palmers Coco Butter Tummy Butter.(walmart) I lost 110lbs a few years back and had those dark purple-red stretch marks. I started using that and now they are flesh tone. You can barely see them on my arms. I also hear that BioOil and Maderma for Stretch Marks are great but very expensive. (Walgreens). The palmers was like $4-5 if i remember. Ive been using the same container of it for about 3 years.

No oils or lotions will prevent them. It depends on if you're genetically disposed to get them.

This is my second pregnancy and I swear by Extra Virgin Olive Oil. It helps the elasticity in the skin which prevents stretch marks. Apply to stomach, breast, and lower back areas.
