During pregnancy I used 100% shea butter twice a day, bathed with this organic coconut and
If you've already started getting them then there is nothing to do. Stretch marks begin in the subcutaneous layer of your skin which is a deep layer of skin. So by the time you see them from the outside they are already there. The best thing is prevention, not treatment. Unfortunately the only real treatment is laser therapy. After they appear on your skin there is no topical product to make them go away. Yes,they are mostly hereditary. But there are things to be done to lessen them or prevent them. The biggest one is drinking a lot of water. Keeping your skin hydrated from the inside out is the best way to prevent them. And gaining weight at a slow pace will help too. The last thing that probably does the least is using a good hydrating moisturizer. I have stretch marks on my hips, inner thighs, upper thighs and butt from puberty. My "womanly figure" came over the course of my freshman summer and that's when I got them all. So when I became pregnant with my daughter I was already prepared to get them on my belly. But I drank a lot of water and used Bella B Tummy Honey Butter everyday twice a day. That butter is all natural and has everything any other cream or lotion has in it that claims to prevent stretch marks all in one. I had my daughter at 39 weeks and the only stretch mark I have as a result from having her is a tiny one on the side of my boob from being engorged when my milk came in. I didn't use the butter on my boobs, but this pregnancy I have been. As soon as I found out I was pregnant I ordered that butter again in case it played any part of preventing them last time. My advice to you would be to drink lots of water to help prevent more and possibly help the ones heal. Hydration is the key!
Okay I guess I should not worry about it again. Thanks mommies
I use vitamin E but like said above there really isnt a wau to avoid them. It stoll helps with dry skin!
I absolutely agree with the above post... I send countless dollars on all the best stretch mark stuff and it didn't make one difference. I still got them worse then a lot of women but the same as my mother and aunts. Hereditary for sure.
even I used lotion and stretch marks cream. still I got them. I believe it's hereditary/genetic. if you're bound to get them, you will, no matter what u apply. that's just my opinion.
