swollen feet and ankles

Is it bad? Should I be concerned? I don't wanna call my Dr bc I hate how all he ever says is its normal and never even tries to see what's going on or offers any suggestions as of what to do to help me. I woke up today with elephant legs and feet. I have no more ankles and my feet are beyond swollen they hurt to even move.

Thank you ladies.  If anything I'm calling l&d better. I hate dealing with my Dr and how he ignores it all. Yes I do have diabetes. And they've swollen up all of a sudden mainly the right side. Im hardly ever on my feet and do drink lots of water. Also last night I had the longest shower of my life and I keep myself very cool at home with fans and all. So i guess it is something to call in for.   Thanks again lovely mommies.

If you are on your feet a lot it can increase the swelling. I wore TED hose and it helped keep the swelling down. I would call your doctor and let them know if this is a new symptom. They can write you a prescription for the TED's so your insurance pays for them.

With it being summer and so warm swelling is very common. Its already common in pregnancy but when its warmer it makes it worse. Be sure to drink lots of water. If you are really concerned it wouldn't hurt to call. The worst they can say is its fine.

Ive been dealing with swelling for a few weeks now but swelling can be a cause for concern when its all of a sudden. How far along are you?? If its just your feet I would try to just rest them but if your legs face or hands start to swell contact your doctor ita one of the signs of pre eclampsia.  Hope you can get some relief. I find cold foot baths help a bit to Relieve the pain

Yeah swelling is normal to a extent but it can be  sign of preclampsia or something else. Especially if you have diabetes which I'm pretty sure.you said you.do!! Can't hurt.to call and ask a nurse

I would call another Dr and tell them your symptoms and say your Dr is ignoring you. Seriously. Some swelling is normal, but it can also be a sign of something too and they should see you. I wouldn't let them blow me off like that personally. I hope all is ok!
