tdap vaccine???????

I'm a first grade teacher and there has been 2 cases of pertussis at my school. My doctor wants to get vaccinated tomorrow and I'm only 25 weeks and 3 days and everywhere I read it needs to be 28 or more weeks. This is my first and only child I will have. What are your thoughts?

They say its better after 28 weeks but maybe the risk of u catching the virus is high and so the doc thinks u need it asap. Its worth getting ur midwife and a second docs opinion too. Good luck.x

My Dr. said it was HIGHLY recommended...when I did it was up to me....the sooner the better he said bc then the meds would be in your system and therefore in the baby's as well.
Remember to have anyone who is going to be around the baby for lg amt of time to get the vaccine as well.

Im almost 29weeks and just got mine today. Imo its better to be safe then sorry. Its best to get it between 28-31 weeks bc it imunises the baby as well. But what i didn't know was that its not just the pertussis vaccine its also a tetneis and something else all in one shot.
