tooth problems

Anybody had a tooth pulled or a root canal while pregnant? I need to go to the dentist, my back molar I believe has a cavity, but between my tooth, its gone past the cavity point cause when I press on my gum it hurts or is tender down to my jaw and the pain radiates to my ear. I really hate the dentist, last time i had 12 cavities drilled was given so much laughing gas I threw up on myself then laughed about it, they gave me atavan to which helped a little with making the experience a foggy one. So anyone have any experience? Im calling the dentist tomorrow, Ive held off for a week to see if the pain would go away, I know stupid but I just dont want to go through this crap again.

I made an appointment for Monday, its funny cause Ive avoided going to the dentist not because I dont have the money but bc Im not very brave.  I think I almost rather have the tooth extracted then Pay for a root canal. We'll see what they say.

I had a root canal at 5 weeks the procedure took less than 15 min. The crown took about an hour. I let my dentist know I was expecting, he recommended waiting until my 2nd trimester but everything went well and no more mind numbing pain! Check with your dentist and see what they can do.
