I had my baby shower for my 1st child 2 mo prior to my due date and actually ended up delivering early so it was literally 2 weeks after that i had a baby. Sept 27 is late but honestly it's nice you are getting 1 at all it isn't a requirement just a nice gesture on their behalf. But if you are worried let them know you need to go to the store and buy what you need that you don't receive as a gift and can't do it after baby is born.
Maybe ask about the first week in sept or even last week in Aug. My friend had her shower planned for 2 weeks behind her due date and her daughter ended up attending it with her at 3 days old
I say just cancel. The shower should be when your up for it not when people can come. It's your day nobody else's. If you can't have it when you want it then I say you should cancel it or just don't show yourself
Try earlier sept I'll be 36 wks on sat and that's my shower day and omg I feel so big and don't really feel like entertaining people but good thing the want to do it for u I have done it all my self with help from the hubby! I've already started hanging decor just so I'm not so tired the day of!
That does suck having it do close to your due date. When I was pregnant with my daughter we had my baby shower 2 weeks before I was due (I had nightmares that I had her with nothing for her) well I had my baby shower April 6th which was a Sunday and my daughter came early and came Wednesday April 9th! I got lucky lol
Still have it, all of the gifts are such a money saver!! Talk to them about having it sooner rather than later. I wouldnt want to wait until that close to my due date either.
